Incident at Advanced Process Technologies

On Tuesday, Wright County police responded to a report of an incident at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato, Minnesota. Responding officers discovered 20-year-old employee Amber Czech with severe head trauma and significant blood loss. A sledgehammer was found near the victim at the scene.

The individual charged in the November 11, 2025, attack is 40-year-old David Bruce Delong, a co-worker from Watkins, Minnesota. According to a criminal complaint, Delong allegedly killed Czech at her workstation and later confessed to the killing, telling investigators he “did not like” the victim and had planned the incident for some time.

Criminal Charges Filed Against Suspect

Delong was charged with one count of second-degree murder, and the county attorney is considering elevating the charge to first-degree murder, which would require a grand jury indictment. He remains in custody with a scheduled court appearance on November 24, 2025. Advanced Process Technologies, which manufactures equipment for food processing, paused production for the remainder of that week and released a statement expressing heartbreak and support for their employees and the victim’s family.
