Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a statement Thursday that should be startling — but isn’t. She called for a “formal deprogramming of the cult members” who are part of the MAGA movement and support former President Donald Trump.
Nothing like a re-education camp to warm the hearts of authoritarian Democrats.
Speaking on CNN’s “Primetime,” Clinton blatantly called for drastic steps to be taken to change the convictions of tens of millions of Americans. It should be shocking, but instead it’s par for the course for modern Democrats.
The former first lady noted that some Republicans voted along with Democrats recently to avoid the government shutdown. In her way of thinking, this demonstrated “common sense” and proved that all GOP members are not bad.
But then Clinton went further, claiming that “sane” Republicans are intimidated by more conservative elements in the party.
She said that the most “extreme measures” must be defeated along with the people who support them. This, Clinton believes, would create “common ground” where the two parties could work together.
Hillary Clinton says “maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members” when talking about “MAGA extremist Trump supporters”

Clinton charged that there is a “little tail of extremism wagging the dog of the Republican Party.” Of course, these “extremists” are those most opposed to the radical progressivism that has overtaken even mainstream Democrats.
Then she turned her attention to describing these “extremists.” “Maybe they don’t like migrants, maybe they don’t like gay people, or Black people, or the woman who got the promotion at work they didn’t get, whatever the reason.”
For Clinton, this is reason enough to enact deprogramming.
She expressed her belief that Trump supporters are “like a cult” that must be broken. Clinton predicted a Biden victory next year and said she hoped that “will be the end and the fever will break.”
The former secretary of state has a history of negative pronouncements against those who throw their support behind the man who defeated her in 2016. That same year, she declared the MAGA faithful to be a “basket of deplorables.”
Clinton said then that fully half of Trump’s supporters were “racist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.” She is also firmly established as an election denier after repeatedly referring to Trump as an “illegitimate president.”
