Texas leaders are not impressed with President Joe Biden’s reversal of his absolute opposition to building more of Trump’s border wall. Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick appeared Thursday on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” and provided his reaction to the surprise announcement.
Patrick took the administration to task for its incredible claim that it had to build part of the wall due to Congress allocating the funding.
He noted that the Biden White House “left that money sitting there for the entire administration so far, and they’ve border wall material sitting on the ground for three years.”
Border wall steel has been lying on the ground in Texas since Joe Biden took office and he sold $200 Million worth of it for $2 Million at the expense of American taxpayers.
It’s all a political ploy.

The Texas official said that the administration was spurred into action only after 8 million people crossed the border. Hundreds of those illegals are from the terror watch list.
Patrick said Biden had no choice but to do something “even if they want to pretend they don’t want to do it.” The White House even laughably claimed that they could not just let the money sit and that they must follow the “rule of law.”
Biden on Thursday said the decision to build the wall was beyond his control. “Money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to reappropriate, to redirect that money, but they didn’t. They wouldn’t.”
Patrick called the assertion a “total fraud” and a “total lie.”
Three years of utterly destructive policies, Patrick said, backed Democrats against the wall. They know that their chances in 2024 are damaged every day that the border remains wide open and that the American people are upset at their dereliction of duty.
Patrick further said he harbors doubts that the wall will even be built — despite the administration’s announcement.
One prominent congressional Democrat lashed out Thursday against the Biden reversal. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called on the president to “reverse course” on what she described as a meaningless and “cruel policy.”
Posting on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the “Squad” member claimed that “a wall does nothing to deter people who are fleeing poverty and violence from coming to the United States.”
She said its construction will push people to more remote and dangerous sections of the border.
Ocasio-Cortez added that the Democratic president should focus “more seriously” on the “root of migration.” She said Biden “should stop contributing to the destabilization that drives migration,” whatever that means.
