Boxing legend Mike Tyson, 57, will soon fight social media icon Jake Paul on July 20, 2024, in AT&T Stadium.
Netflix recently announced the matchup in a 19-second video showing Paul arriving on a rooftop through a helicopter and then squaring off against Tyson.

The Daily Caller noted that the fighting matchup is “wild” because it involves a 27-year-old former Disney star who became a social media personality and has managed to become an adequate boxer to the point where he will soon fight one of the best boxers of all time.
Paul currently has nine wins and one loss in his boxing career. The social media sensation previously defeated Ryan Bourland on March 2, 2024, and Andre August in December 2023. He now wants to test himself with all-time legend Tyson, who has 50 wins and six losses.
The Tyson-Paul fight will mark the first time that Netflix has streamed combat sports. The event would also be the first time that Tyson will step into a boxing ring since losing to Kevin McBride in June 2005.
On Nov. 1, 2023, Netflix signed a deal with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) to stream the fight between Paul and Tyson.
“Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a once-in-a-lifetime dream matchup and I anticipate it will be the most-watched boxing event in modern boxing history,” MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said.
Although Tyson did fight Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020, the event was described as an “exhibition bout.” Interestingly, Paul also participated in the event, having fought against National Basketball Association (NBA) player Nate Robinson.
“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” Paul said. “Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”
“Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, a broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world — a testament to all we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time,” Paul added.
