Kamala Harris ‘Ready To Serve’ Amid Concerns About Biden’s Abilities

As concerns grow over President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, Vice President Kamala Harris told reporters last week that she is “ready to serve.”

Just a few days before Special Counsel Robert Hur released his report confirming that Biden was an “elderly man with a poor memory,” Harris told the Wall Street Journal that she is ready to take over the presidency if necessary.

“I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that,” Harris told the outlet in response to a question about concerns regarding Biden’s advanced age and cognitive decline.

The vice president’s comments came during an interview on Feb. 6, which was two days before Hur’s report on Biden’s classified documents scandal was released.

According to MSNBC host Jennifer Palmieri, who worked as White House Director of Communications under former President Barack Obama and as Director of Communications for Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign, it was already clear that there would be “a lot of scrutiny and pressure” on Harris in Biden’s 2024 campaign — and “that moment’s here now.”

“I think that the special counsel’s report has sort of accelerated that moment,” she added.
Americans on both sides of the aisle are becoming concerned that Harris may soon have to take over for Biden, especially because of Hur’s report.

It has been clear for some time now that Biden’s physical and mental health has been declining — as the president has fallen on numerous occasions and has shown signs of dementia.

Hur’s report exacerbated those concerns and elicited outrage from the public, as he declared his refusal to prosecute Biden for his crimes because of his advanced age, leading many to question how Biden was unfit to stand trial but still fit to serve as president.
“Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” Hur’s report confirmed.

“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Hur’s report continued — noting that during an interview, Biden “did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting when his term ended and when it began.

He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.”

In response to this report, several Republican lawmakers called on the Biden administration to remove the president using the 25th Amendment.

Meanwhile, critics of the president took to social media to express their concerns.
“So Joe Biden is old & cognitively impaired (8 yrs ago) according to special prosecutor Hur, that’s why he won’t be charged for leaving classified documents all over the place.

However, he’s still 100% ok to lead the free world & hold the nuclear football! Totally makes sense!” Donald Trump Jr. wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Today’s report from Robert Hur tells us two things: There’s a double standard of justice in this country. And Joe Biden isn’t fit for office,” wrote Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
