CNN Preps Public For Russia Collusion Hoax 2.0

CNN made a brief run at journalistic integrity and shifted a few degrees toward the political center for a day or so. But it’s now back to business as usual as the network brews new narratives about a Russian threat for the 2024 elections.

For this argument to hold water, the public must be convinced that the previous Russiagate hoax never happened. That may take more effort, but CNN is trying.

It recently published an article titled, “Newly declassified US intel claims Russia is laundering propaganda through unwitting Westerners.” Supposedly the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) is working to influence public policy and opinion.

How so?

By forcing Russian citizens to build relationships with powerful Americans and other Western individuals. Through these unwitting dupes, according to CNN, the Kremlin may spread its messaging without the source being revealed.

The article claimed that the effort is “deliberately small scale.” The idea is to present these Moscow-sanctioned viewpoints as rising organically through personal relationships.

CNN attempted to give credence to this narrative by spotlighting a story broadcast by OANN. It asserted that the White Helmets in Syria staged alleged chemical attacks they then blamed on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The OANN journalist, however, backed up his story and said he did not rely on Russian sources.

This is just more of the same from leftist media outlets and the Democrats they support. Now mainstream journalists will spotlight supposed Russian connections with conservative media and attempt to paint anything opposed to their messaging as “misinformation.”

There is no greater example of these misdeeds than the farce that was carried out against Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign.

Again using the Russian boogeyman, leftists tried to paint the popular Republican as in the back pockets of the Kremlin.

The former president rightly called out what he termed the “lame stream media” for obscuring the truth. Instead of due diligence, Trump charged that the Hillary Clinton campaign employed tech workers to penetrate his servers and spy on him.

The former president referred to the Russiagate hoax and said that the “crooks, vandals and lowlifes” who perpetrated the falsehood must face justice.

Everything Democrats and their media allies are currently doing works to stack the deck for next year’s presidential election. From the endless indictments to setting up Russia to once again be the villain, it is all to ensure that Trump is not reelected.
