Biden’s DOJ Tried To Prevent ‘Bombshell’ Testimony Against Hunter

Shortly before Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer, was scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee, President Biden’s Department of Justice advocated for Archer to be sent to prison.

Devon Archer had a long-standing professional relationship with Hunter Biden, and together, they co-founded the investment firm Rosemont Seneca in 2009 alongside Christopher Heinz, the stepson of John Kerry.

In 2013, Devon Archer and Hunter Biden joined forces with Chinese private equity investor Jonathan Li to create BHR Partners, an investment fund with backing from China. This venture received support from major Chinese financial institutions, including the Bank of China.

In 2014, Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were appointed to the board of directors of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas company.

Records indicate that as early as 2009, Archer attended a “holiday reception” at the White House, and in 2011, he was part of a “group tour” that included a meeting with then-Vice President Joe Biden in the West Wing.

Notably, on April 16, 2014, just a few days before Hunter and Archer joined the board of Burisma, they had another meeting with then-Vice President Joe Biden in the West Wing.

In August 2014, Devon Archer had the opportunity to play golf with Joe Biden and his son in the Hamptons.

Nonetheless, in 2018, Devon Archer was found guilty of defrauding a Native American tribe. He is currently in the process of appealing the conviction. Recently, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Archer’s one-year prison sentence.

According to text messages discovered on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop and published by the Washington Examiner, in March 2019, Devon Archer reached out to Hunter Biden to inquire why his father was not providing assistance with the charges he was facing.

Allegedly, Archer asked Hunter, “Why did your dad’s administration appointees arrest me and try to put me in jail? Just curious. Some of our partners are asking out here. Why would they try to ruin my family and destroy my kids, and no one from your family’s side step in and at least try to help me? I don’t get it. And I’m depressed. Bunch of these Asian partners getting in my head asking me the same, so just curious what I should answer.”

Reportedly, Hunter responded in a text message, saying, “Every president’s family is held to a higher standard and a target. It’s the price of being the most powerful group of people in the world. It’s why our democracy remains viable. It’s unfair at times, but in the end, the system of justice usually works, and like you, we are redeemed, and the truth prevails. The unfairness to us allows for the greater good.”

He continued, “And we aren’t a banana republic, buddy. The powerful are targets in this country, the more powerful they become. But the truth prevails if you have the stamina and guts and enough love to stay the course. Every great family is persecuted in the U.S. — you are part of a great family — not a sideshow, not deserted by them even in your darkest moments. That’s the way Bidens are different, and you are a Biden. It’s the price of power.”

Devon Archer provided confidential testimony to the House Oversight Committee on Monday.

Coincidentally, Joe Biden’s Department of Justice made efforts to urge Archer’s imprisonment shortly before his anticipated “bombshell testimony” before the House Oversight Committee.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York sent a letter to trial judge Ronnie Abrams on Saturday, requesting a specified date for Devon Archer to surrender himself to prison, in connection to his 2018 conviction.

In response to the Department of Justice’s letter, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) shared his thoughts during a Sunday interview on Fox News.

Comer said, “This is the first time I have ever heard of the Department of Justice doing anything on a Saturday. It’s odd that it was issued on a Saturday. And it’s odd that it’s right before he’s scheduled to come in to have an opportunity to speak in front of the House Oversight Committee and tell the American people the truth about what really went on with Burisma.”

He said to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, “So, I don’t know if this is a coincidence, Maria, or if this is another example of the weaponization of the Department of Justice.”
