Rather than the series gaining support for Harry and Meghan, it increased support for Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales. The series only involved 17% more of the British public experiencing more sympathy for Harry and Megan.
Some speculate that the public thinks better of Will and Kate because of their stoic behavior. While Harry and Meghan go to the public, those staying quiet seem to receive more support. They aren’t revealing secrets or discussing feuds within the family, potentially boosting the public’s opinion of them.
