Forbes Posts About ‘Unprompted Attacks On Gaza,’ Deletes Post

Critics are slamming left-leaning news outlet Forbes for a social media post referring to Israeli retaliatory strikes in response to horrific terrorist attacks as Israel’s “Unprompted Attacks On Gaza.”

More than 700 people were killed, thousands were injured and at least 100 were reportedly kidnapped over the weekend in Israel by Palestinian terror group Hamas. Some of those killed and kidnapped were Americans. In response, Israel declared war and began fighting back against terrorists in Gaza.

“Israel is at war,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech following the terrorist attacks. “We didn’t want this war. It was forced upon us in the most brutal and savage way. But though Israel didn’t start this war, Israel will finish it.”

In a since-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Forbes shared a headline that claimed: “Hamas Threatens To Execute Israeli Civilian Hostages For Unprompted Attacks On Gaza.”

The post was quickly deleted following backlash, but not before many critics called out the left-wing outlet for parroting Hamas talking points — and took screenshots of the headline.

Fox Nation host and author Joey Jones shared a side-by-side comparison of the since-deleted post and Forbes’ new headline for the story that was linked in the post. While the article’s URL still contains the phrase “unprompted attacks,” Forbes has edited the story’s headline to read: “Hamas Threatens To Execute Israeli Civilian Hostages For Attacks On Gaza ‘Without Prior Warning.’”

“This might be the worst headline of the year,” responded Redoubt’s Philip Reichert.

Podcast host Noam Blum pointed out that “‘Unprompted’ was the word used by Hamas, so naturally Forbes just acted as stenographers.”

“Um … say, idiots?! The very fact they have HOSTAGES means the attacks were more than prompted,” another user wrote. “The media and the administration are in a contest to see which will be deleting the most horrid opinions about the Israeli attacks. Latest entrant [Forbes].”

Another user suggested that Forbes was espousing the “pro-Hamas position” of many American Democrats.

“How disgusting is Forbes for saying the attacks on Gaza were unprompted? Interesting Forbes Using language that supports the Democrats’ pro-Hamas position?” they wrote.
