“Shark Tank” star investor Kevin O’Leary called the $464 million bond imposed on Donald Trump in the New York City civil fraud case “an attack on America” on the Tuesday episode of the Fox News show “Outnumbered.”
“I don’t think this a case about Trump at all anymore,” O’Leary said, speaking about the penalty. He went on to say that the principle behind the penalty is “about the American brand.”

Critics have pointed to the unprecedented nature of the ruling and warned it could be an ominous sign for America’s future.
“The concept of seizing assets in 30 days on a bond number that’s never been issued — no insurance bond company has ever issued anything near this,” O’Leary continued. “So it was no chance it was going to happen and only giving 30 days’ notice in time — that’s a really bad message.”
O’Leary wasn’t finished. “This is an attack on America and I don’t know how you can look at it any other way.”
“And as an investor, and I know plenty of investors who are completely disturbed by this … but no one is going to put any money to work in New York in these amounts until this thing settles down,” O’Leary concluded.
Trump has until March 25 to post the outrageous bond issued in the inane ruling issued last month by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, reported the New York Post.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has indicated she’ll go after Trump’s landmark properties if he can’t make the bond. James has made a career out of promising to take Trump down.

On Monday, Trump’s law team filed papers attempting to stall paying the nearly half-billion-dollar bond claiming Trump is having “insurmountable difficulties” securing the cash.
The attorneys reasoned Trump shouldn’t have to get rid of his real estate assets in a “fire sale” before the deadline because he could never get them back at the same price.
Trump responded on Truth Social. “I would be forced to mortgage or sell Great Assets, perhaps at Fire Sale prices, and if and when I win the Appeal, they would be gone. Does that make sense? WITCH HUNT. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”
O’Leary made it clear, “The whole world is watching and everybody’s waiting for one thing we haven’t got yet: adult supervision. Where is it? Where are the adults in this crazy narrative?”
“Certainly there’s got to be adult supervision at some point. And I understand, you know, the war going on here and all the political yada-yada, woof-woof-woof,” he continued. “But we need an adult in the room now. This is the United States of America under siege.”
