An FBI agent was reportedly seen not telling the truth Wednesday in a trial surrounding alleged sedition by affiliates of the Proud Boys.
One member of the group has pleaded guilty to charges surrounding seditious conspiracy, according to a report by ABC.
FBI agents utilize a special chat system to correspond with one another titled Lync. According to The Right Scoop, Special Agent Nicole Miller was compelled to submit all of her Lync messages to the court.
Now, the attorney representing Proud Boys member Ethan Nordean has filed a motion claiming he uncovered exchanges between two FBI agents that were “hidden.”
“From the hidden rows in Miller’s Lync spreadsheet it is apparent that the defense has not received all of her Jencks statements in these relevant communications,” read the document. “That is because the individuals with whom Miller exchanges messages can be seen responding to the agent—but her own statements are missing.”
As he cross-examined Miller, Nordean’s lawyer, Nick Smith, reportedly managed to unmask classified FBI emails that were covered in a tab in an Excel spreadsheet.
Newsweek noted that some Republicans have put the FBI and Department of Justice under heavy scrutiny in the past few months, pushing for investigations over the agencies’ alleged weaponization of the federal government.
Following the revelations of FBI agents allegedly altering court evidence, the trial was paused Thursday, The Epoch Times reported.
“There are a couple of emails between FBI agents casually discussing altering a document and destroying hundreds of pieces of evidence. It’s very disturbing and right now we have more questions than answers,” Roger Roots, an attorney at John Pierce Law, told The Epoch Times.
Roots reportedly confirmed the trial’s halt.
July Kelly, who works as a senior writer for American Greatness, posted about the controversy on Twitter, sharing numerous documents from the hearings. The journalist commented, “This is what happens when a rogue, corrupt FBI… is allowed to lie to the public, withhold information, and operate without oversight by Congress.”

She additionally accused the government agency of engaging in “Brazen lawlessness,” before asking, “If this is a slam-dunk case of ‘seditious conspiracy,’ why is FBI destroying, hiding evidence?”
