Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, was hit with a large-scale cyberattack early Monday, leaving users locked out and unable to post. Musk confirmed that the attack was well-funded and possibly the work of a state actor or a coordinated network.
Musk stated on X that the platform faces constant cyber threats, but this attack was larger than usual and required “a lot of resources.” Reports showed outages across multiple countries, with major disruptions in the U.S. and Europe.
The timing of this attack raises concerns given Musk’s ongoing battles against corruption in government. His push to audit the Department of Defense, investigate USAID’s involvement in media funding, and expose Deep State operations in Ukraine has put him in direct conflict with powerful interests.
Tesla, another of Musk’s companies, has also been under fire. Protesters linked to left-wing donors have targeted Tesla showrooms, and organized boycotts have cost Musk billions in stock losses.
