US Soldier Charged With Hacking, Selling Trump And Harris Phone Logs

A U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Cavazos has been indicted on charges of selling confidential phone records online. Cameron John Wagenius, 20, is accused of leaking data linked to President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, according to federal prosecutors.

Wagenius is allegedly tied to the online handle “Kiberphant0m,” which has been linked to several high-profile data breaches. Reuters reported that Kiberphant0m claimed responsibility for leaking phone logs allegedly belonging to Trump and Harris. However, the authenticity of the records has not been verified.

The indictment includes two counts of unlawful transfer of confidential phone records. Details on how Wagenius accessed the data were not provided in court documents. The records were reportedly posted online in November, with AT&T implicated as the source of the breach.

The case has raised broader concerns about cybersecurity vulnerabilities and the role of insider threats. Federal authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of Wagenius’ actions and any potential accomplices.
