Tennessee Thieves Use Pythons To Steal CBD Oil In Bizarre Gas Station Heist

Tennessee police are searching for four suspects who allegedly used live pythons to commit a robbery at a Madison County convenience store, frightening the clerk before escaping with $400 worth of CBD oil.

The incident occurred at a Citgo gas station on March 4 when two men and two women entered the store carrying the snakes. Witnesses say the suspects aggressively waved the pythons around and even placed them on the counter to intimidate employees.

Store worker Mayur Raval described the scene, saying that one of the suspects initially brought in a single python before bringing in another. “One is white, and one is brown or a mix,” he explained.

Surveillance footage shows the group arriving in a four-door sedan, which had its trunk secured with bungee cords. The vehicle was parked directly in front of the store before the suspects entered.

“They pulled their car up to the front of the door,” Raval said. “I think they planned to successfully come here and rob the store. The snake is a weapon, you know.”
After taking the CBD oil, the suspects fled in their car. Authorities have released images from the surveillance footage and are asking for help from the public in identifying the thieves.

This incident follows a similar case from last year, when a Memphis man attempted to rob a gas station using a five-foot python. That attempt ended when the store clerk drew a firearm and called the police.
