GOP Florida Sen. Rick Scott on Sunday said Joe Biden is repeatedly “pacifying” China and pondered if he is at all “compromised” by the Communist Chinese Party.
During an appearance on the WABC 770 AM radio show with John Catsimatidis, Scott argued that no American company should be engaging in business with China or Russia, adding that the U.S. should “focus on what’s good for America, what’s good for Americans, what’s good for our children, our grandchildren.”
“All that Biden does is pacify China. I mean, I don’t know why he does it. I don’t know if he’s compromised. I don’t know what it is. But this is a guy that won’t stand up to dictators around the world,” Scott said.
The Florida senator made similar anti-China comments during a recent interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.

As the New York Post noted, Biden has routinely danced around questions surrounding his role in his son Hunter’s shady financial deals in Ukraine and China for months. The outlet first began covering the topic around October and November 2020.
Scott stressed the message again last week when he posted an article and survey finding that more Americans are worried about a threat posed to the world by China than Russia, with 58% disapproving of Biden’s conduct surrounding China.
“Communist China has chosen to be our enemy. The CCP wants to destroy our way of life, and @JoeBiden shows nothing but weak appeasement,” Scott wrote online, linking to the poll.
“The American people deserve a leader in Washington who stands up to evil regimes and puts America first.”
The survey was run shortly before Biden made another visit to Ukraine and following the downing of a Chinese spy balloon on Feb. 4, by the coast of South Carolina.
Biden drew heat for the time he took to blast the balloon out of the sky; the Chinese aircraft had flown over sensitive military sites and much of the U.S. prior to its takedown.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken indicated on Sunday that China is looking into sending deadly weapons to Russia for its war with Ukraine, a move that will undoubtedly further harm relations between Washington and Beijing.
Upon being asked by reporters if he is implicated by his family’s connections with China earlier this month, Biden answered, “Give me a break.”
