Yet another whistleblower told the House Judiciary Committee last week that he witnessed the FBI’s attempts to shut down the case involving Hunter Biden in the runup to the 2020 presidential election.
Retired Special Agent Timothy Thibault is the former No. 2 supervisor in the bureau’s Washington field office. He detailed in a transcribed interview that the office had information from a second “politically connected” informant concerning the Biden family.
However, orders came in to “shut down the source” as the election approached.
CNN's "fact-checking" McCarthy’s claims while launching Biden impeachment inquiry acknowledges:
✅The Bidens received $20 million through shell companies
✅ An FBI informant claims they received a $10 million bribe
✅Joe Biden participated in calls with Hunter's business… https://t.co/Z5nftbYgHZ— KanekoaTheGreat (@KanekoaTheGreat) September 13, 2023
According to Just the News, Thibault said he was surprised when he fielded the request from the lead agent investigating Joe Biden’s son to shut down the source. This came in October 2020.
The sheer volume of suppression of negative information concerning the Biden family before the last presidential election is a startling condemnation of the FBI. Thibault found it shocking because, as he told Congress, “the purpose of a confidential informant is to support a case.”
Thibault did not identify the informant. However, Just the News reported that best-selling author Peter Schweizer revealed Sunday that he believes he is that source. He based this on past comments by Thibault and on a report in the New York Times.
The outlet recently indicated that the FBI received details on the Hunter Biden investigation from what it described as a “right-wing author.”
Schweizer said he was approached by the FBI in the fall of 2020 and provided information on possible misdeeds by the younger Biden. He said that politics were not involved in his disclosure.
The author pushed back against the idea that there are “right-wing facts” or “left-wing facts.” Rather, Schweizer asserted, “there are only facts.”
He further noted the Times’ willingness to report on the Steele dossier in 2016, which was funded by the Hillary Clinton camp. The outlet “happily accepted the unsubstantiated and unsourced dossier from Hillary Clinton’s lawyer without reservation.”
Thibault retired after it was revealed that he made anti-Trump social media posts while an FBI agent.
This makes his testimony to Congress all the more interesting. He is clearly not aligned with the former president and yet was deeply disturbed by FBI actions just prior to the 2020 presidential election.
And once again, testimony indicated the FBI played an active role in election interference.
