Rubio Demands Biden Cancel Visas Of Foreign Nationals Supporting Hamas

In a press release on Saturday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) demanded that President Joe Biden cancel the visas of foreign nationals who express support for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

The State Department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism designated Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997. Despite the group’s history of violence and terrorism, as well as Hamas’ horrific terrorist attack in Israel on October 7, there have been pro-Hamas demonstrations across the United States over the past week.

Thousands of pro-Hamas protesters gathered to celebrate the terrorist attack in a rally in New York City’s Tims Square — where they were heard cheering for the deaths of Israeli civilians, women and children. At least 1,300 Israelis died in the attack, along with at least 27 Americans.

“Resistance is justified, when people are colonized!” the terrorist supporters chanted in New York City, arguing that the terrorists had the right to massacre Israeli civilians because of supposed “colonization” in Gaza.

“There is only one solution, Intifada revolution!” terrorist supporters can be heard chanting in several different pro-Hamas protests, including in Times Square and at a college in Washington state.

In his press release, Rubio argued that the foreign nationals taking part in demonstrations celebrating terrorism while living in the U.S. because of the visa program should be removed from the country.

“America is the most generous nation on earth, but we cannot allow foreign nationals who support terrorist groups like Hamas and march in our streets calling for ‘intifada’ to enter or stay in our country,” he wrote.

Rubio went on to explain that the Biden administration has the authority to cancel these foreign nationals’ visas — arguing that it is extremely important to do so “for foreign nationals who endorse or espouse terrorist activity, including those who defend or support Hamas by calling for intifada, jihad, or other similar actions to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel.”

The Florida senator also vowed to take action in the Senate to force the Biden administration to act.

“In addition to demanding the Biden Administration apply our existing laws, I will introduce legislation to force them to act,” Rubio wrote.

He then promised to push through legislation that would withhold federal funding from colleges and universities that allow pro-Hamas demonstrations and other activities that “endorse or espouse terrorist activity or persuade others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization.”

One such institution that allowed these demonstrations was Harvard University — an Ivy League school that has repeatedly suppressed and punished conservative speech, while claiming that they will not discourage pro-Hamas rallies because they have “a commitment to free expression.”
