RFK Jr. Says Democrats’ Attacks Were ‘Not Smart’

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially joined President Donald Trump’s campaign after enduring relentless attacks from the Democratic Party.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Kennedy revealed how Democratic operatives attempted to gather dirt on him by contacting people from his distant past. These actions, which Kennedy described as “mafia tactics,” pushed him away from the Democrats and toward supporting Trump. He cited free speech, the Ukraine conflict, and children’s welfare as key issues that aligned him more closely with Trump’s platform.

Kennedy’s endorsement goes beyond words — he is actively working with Trump’s team on policy development and transition planning. Despite his family’s objections, Kennedy remains committed to helping Trump secure a second term. He believes the Democrats’ strategy of undermining him was counterproductive, as internal polling showed his candidacy was drawing more support from Trump’s base than from Harris’s voters.

The Democratic Party’s focus on discrediting Kennedy ultimately backfired, according to him. He described how even old acquaintances were contacted in a bid to dig up dirt, but the effort proved unsuccessful. Kennedy believes these tactics reflect a broader problem within the party — a disconnect from the voters they claim to represent.

Now working directly with Trump, Kennedy is helping to shape policy initiatives that reflect his values. His role in the transition team, if Trump wins, will be to ensure that key positions are filled with individuals committed to restoring freedoms and protecting American interests.

Kennedy argued that if the Democrats had left him alone, they would have had a better chance of winning in 2024. Instead, their decision to attack him has only strengthened Trump’s position. Kennedy’s support is expected to energize voters who feel disenfranchised by the current political climate.
