A binder filled with heavily redacted records is all the public has been given after the long-promised release of Epstein-related files. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that the FBI has been withholding thousands of pages of key case records, leading to outrage over what many see as continued obstruction.
Bondi, frustrated by the incomplete disclosure, immediately sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel demanding that every withheld document be turned over to the D.O.J. by February 28 as detailed here. Patel responded by launching an investigation into why records were kept from the D.O.J., warning that any officials found to have blocked the release would face serious consequences.
I'm not gonna call for Pam Bondi's resignation quite yet. I will say this though… if she doesn't have a SWAT team at the NY FBI building by 8:01AM tomorrow morning to seize everything they possess… She might as well resign. All trust will be lost. pic.twitter.com/tUCCiLxfei

BREAKING: Why has the government been SO suspiciously protective of Jeffrey Epstein? Today, we began to feel duped and then @PamBondi released a letter saying she felt duped too. Turns out the @FBI isn’t following orders. The New York FBI field office is withholding Epstein… pic.twitter.com/3AD8CMm3d8

There is a reason the FBI was defying Pam Bondi's orders and purposely stalling the release of the Epstein files.

Further controversy erupted when social media influencers visiting the White House were unexpectedly handed binders labeled The Epstein Files: Phase 1 in an event described here. Many of them were unaware of what was inside, and images of them holding the binders quickly spread. The incident fueled even more backlash, as it became clear that the release was not the bombshell disclosure many had hoped for.
If the Trump administration has no Epstein info because the New York FBI is refusing to hand over documents, then why did Pam Bondi say the Epstein files were sitting on her desk? Things would be going a lot smoother if she had just told us the truth.

Every bit of the "Epstein material " released today was included in my 2015 book " The Clintons' War on Women" https://t.co/hOetksAf10 pic.twitter.com/kuUoxSY2Xe

Why can’t we talk about how @PamBondi was the Attorney General of Florida the entire time Jeffrey Epstein was raping young girls in Florida?
How come she never shut him down?
I want to remind everyone that Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, who is good friends with Pam… pic.twitter.com/1ipZYHMg2Q

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), who has long pushed for full transparency in the Epstein case, criticized the handling of the release, saying that she had not been notified about it beforehand. Attorney Jennifer Freeman, representing Epstein’s survivors, also voiced her frustration, saying victims are still waiting for real justice and that the release so far has been deeply inadequate.

Has the FBI ever had to go in and raid the FBI? Main Justice, if SDNY doesn't cooperate, it may be time the FBI's New York field office gets paid a visit in the style it's very well accustomed to doling out https://t.co/wunlEsLDZB

Bondi remains firm in her demand that every Epstein-related document be turned over, stating that the American people deserve full transparency. Patel has echoed that stance, pledging to ensure that every withheld record is delivered to the D.O.J. without delay.

As the FBI comes under increased scrutiny, the public remains outraged by the lack of full disclosure, with many left waiting for the complete Epstein client list — something they fear may never be fully revealed.
