Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has shifted his support to President Donald Trump, warned that Kamala Harris’ foreign policy stance could lead to a nuclear conflict. In a video posted on X, Kennedy argued that Harris’ inexperience and rhetoric make her a dangerous choice for president.
Kennedy invoked his uncle, John F. Kennedy, as a leader who valued diplomacy over confrontation. He suggested that JFK would align with Trump today, favoring negotiation with adversaries like Russia. According to Kennedy, Trump’s repeated statements about negotiating with Putin to end the Ukraine conflict show a commitment to peace that Harris lacks.
He criticized Harris’ statements at the Democratic Convention, describing them as “hostile” and indicative of her weakness in foreign affairs. Kennedy accused her of being controlled by military interests pushing for war. He drew a parallel between Harris and Dick Cheney, who he blamed for the Iraq war that resulted in over a million deaths.
Kennedy cited studies predicting that a nuclear war could last only minutes but have devastating consequences, with billions of lives lost. He emphasized JFK’s warning that surviving such a war would be worse than death itself.
Kennedy urged voters to reject Harris, stating that her presidency would be a continuation of past mistakes. He framed Trump as the only candidate committed to avoiding unnecessary wars through direct diplomacy.
“If you want to avoid nuclear war, I strongly urge you to vote for Donald Trump,” Kennedy concluded, stressing the need for a president who can navigate complex global relationships without risking American lives.
