Jean-Pierre On Bidens Receiving Chinese Money: ‘Just Not Going To Respond’

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to field a question surrounding bank records that revealed millions of dollars were transferred to Biden family members via a Chinese energy firm.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about the controversy during a White House media briefing on Wednesday.

“House Oversight says they have bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party. What were they paid for?” Doocy asked.

Jean-Pierre dodged the question entirely, replying, “Look, I’m just not going to respond to that from here. Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how, how, the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue.”

“And I don’t even know where to begin to even answer that question,” she added. “Because, again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple of years and I’m just not going to get into it from here.”

The New York Post reported that despite Jean-Pierre’s claims of the allegations being lies, bank records have revealed that over $1 million was wired to three Biden relatives in early 2017. According to the outlet, Biden’s first son Hunter, first brother James and first daughter-in-law Hallie Biden collectively got a third of $3 million wired by State Energy HK, tied with CEFC China Energy, to a Biden family business partner named Rob Walker on March 1, 2017.

Jean-Pierre was ridiculed by some over her patently false claim of the Chinese payments to the Bidens being lies. Washington Examiner Justice Department reporter Jerry Dunleavy accused the press secretary as well as Joe Biden of engaging in “gaslighting” with their denials of the charge, noting that Hunter Biden’s legal defense team has publicly admitted the payments occurred.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) responded to Jean-Pierre’s remarks, telling The Post on Wednesday she is being deceitful.

“Jean-Pierre claims she doesn’t know where to begin when confronted with the facts of our investigation. She can start with the bank records we obtained showing a Chinese energy company paying members of the Biden family over $1 million through an associate,” Comer told the outlet, adding that “Bank records don’t lie.”

“The fact that President Biden and his press secretary continue to be dishonest with the American people about the Biden family’s shady business schemes is alarming,” the Kentucky representative asserted. “The House Oversight Committee will continue to pursue answers, transparency and accountability for the American people.”

These monetary transfers were reportedly received by three family members of Joe Biden a few months after he concluded his term as vice president in 2017. Upon being confronted by reporters on the matter, Biden has repeatedly denied the allegations.
