Hungarian President Viktor Orban has sounded the alarm over what he describes as a globalist push to destabilize European nations that resist centralized control. His comments, posted on X, highlight ongoing tensions between nationalist governments and globalist forces.
Orban pointed to recent chaos in Serbia’s Parliament as a clear example of these efforts, condemning the use of smoke bombs and obstructionist tactics by opposition lawmakers. He said this kind of unrest is being used to undermine Serbia’s leadership and spread instability to other nationalist-led nations, including Hungary and Slovakia.
After losing Washington to the patriots, globalist-liberal forces retreated to Brussels, and set their sights on Serbia, Slovakia, and Hungary. Today's chaos in the Serbian Parliament – smoke bombs, violence, and obstruction – shows how far they’re willing to go to destabilise… pic.twitter.com/krL49UvG54

He warned that globalist influence has only grown stronger in Europe since losing ground in Washington, an apparent reference to President Donald Trump’s election victory. Orban has been an outspoken supporter of Trump and has criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the Russia-Ukraine war, arguing that U.S. and European policies have prolonged the conflict.
Serbia, under President Aleksandar Vucic, has faced mounting pressure as opposition groups attempt to disrupt governance. Orban expressed his support for Vucic, calling on others to stand against foreign efforts to erode national sovereignty.
The battle between nationalist and globalist forces in Europe has intensified in recent years, particularly as the EU pushes policies that some leaders see as a threat to their nations’ independence. Orban has repeatedly rejected Brussels’ attempts to exert control over Hungary, arguing that each country should determine its own future.
As nationalist governments push back against EU influence, the struggle over Europe’s direction is set to continue, with Serbia becoming the latest flashpoint in this ongoing political fight.
