Drone Swarms Over Maryland Spark Calls For Federal Action

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has demanded answers after witnessing a swarm of drones flying over his residence Friday night. His concerns come as reports of unexplained drone activity grow across the Eastern Seaboard.

Hogan described the event in a post on X, saying he saw “dozens of large drones” over Davidsonville, Maryland. “I observed the activity for approximately 45 minutes,” he stated, adding that the lack of transparency from federal agencies is alarming.

Similar incidents have been reported in New Jersey and Connecticut since November. Residents have expressed fear and frustration over the unexplained drone activity, only to be met with dismissive responses from the Biden administration. White House adviser John Kirby said Thursday that residents are likely mistaking aircraft lights for drones.

Hogan criticized the administration’s stance, calling it negligent. “Neither the White House, the military, the FBI, or Homeland Security have any idea what they are, where they came from, or who has launched or is controlling them,” he said, noting the government’s response is “entirely unacceptable.”

Reports of mysterious drones are not new. Last year, drones repeatedly buzzed Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, raising concerns about potential security threats. Witnesses said the drones were unusually large and fast-moving, capable of reaching significant altitudes.

Hogan urged federal officials to act swiftly, saying the issue has bipartisan support. “The American people deserve answers and action now,” he concluded.

As more residents report similar sightings, questions about the purpose and origin of these drones remain unanswered.
