DOGE Uncovers Social Security Accounts Tied To Centenarians, Commissioner Resigns

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has exposed a major issue within the Social Security Administration, revealing millions of accounts tied to people listed as over 100 years old. Some accounts even belong to individuals recorded as being 150 years old or older.

The discovery has led to swift consequences, with Acting Social Security Commissioner Michelle King stepping down after reportedly refusing to grant DOGE access to recipient records. The White House has since announced that President Donald Trump has nominated financial executive Frank Bisignano to take over the agency.

Speaking at the White House, Musk described the situation as absurd. “If someone is 150 years old and still alive, they should be in the Guinness Book of World Records,” he said. “Otherwise, someone else is cashing those checks.”

The Social Security Administration previously acknowledged that nearly 19 million individuals over the age of 100 were still listed in their system without recorded deaths. While officials claim most are not receiving payments, concerns remain that fraudulent claims have been filed using their Social Security numbers.

DOGE’s investigation is part of a larger crackdown on federal waste, fraud, and inefficiency. The agency has also been reviewing Treasury Department records after discovering nearly $5 trillion in transactions lacking proper traceability.

Musk made it clear that his team is just getting started. “Your tax dollars need to be spent wisely,” he said. “If money is being wasted, that’s not okay.”
