Conservative Media Under Siege From Swatting In US

FBI Director Kash Patel is tackling a flood of swatting incidents that have rattled conservative media personalities this week. These deceptive calls trick police into storming homes with guns drawn, creating chaos for the targets and law enforcement alike. Patel has vowed to work with local authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Gateway Pundit revealed the scope of the problem, stating, “Several conservative figures including Nick Sortor, Gunther Eagleman, and Shawn Farash have been swatted over the last couple of days.” Sortor, a journalist with a big online presence, said the attacks reached beyond him to his family, with a caller spinning a false tale of his dad committing a violent act.

Radio personality Joe Pags encountered the danger firsthand on March 12. The Daily Mail reported, “Conservative radio host Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo revealed video footage of a man outside his home with a rifle,” showing police responding to a fabricated emergency. Pags wasted no time contacting Patel, seeking federal intervention.

Patel’s stance resonates with many conservatives who feel targeted. The Post Millennial quoted him saying, “This isn’t about politics — weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers.” The timing of his statement on March 14 underscores the urgency.

Chase Geiser, a voice at InfoWars, endured back-to-back swatting attempts. The Daily Mail noted, “Infowars host Chase Geiser posted video of police putting him in handcuffs after a person called 911 pretending to be the media personality.” The second incident hit just before 2 a.m. on March 14, amplifying the harassment.

Gunther Eagleman and his brother Mike also faced the ordeal. The Post Millennial wrote, “Gunther Eagleman said he was also the victim of a swatting attack,” triggered by a fake “hostage situation” report. The Gateway Pundit added, “Catturd and Gunther’s brother Mike were also swatted this morning,” expanding the list of victims.

Shawn Farash, a Trump impersonator, and “Catturd,” swatted for the fourth time, round out the recent targets. An FBI official told the Daily Mail that at least 10 such incidents occurred on March 13 alone.
