Calvin Robinson, an Anglican Catholic priest who recently relocated to the United States from the UK, has issued a grave warning to Americans about the political and spiritual decline he witnessed in his homeland. Robinson, now leading a parish in Michigan, cautioned that the U.S. could follow the same path of moral decay if left unchecked.
In a recent interview with The Christian Post, Robinson pleaded with Americans to take a stand against the left’s efforts to dismantle the nation’s Christian values. “Please don’t do what we did,” Robinson said, urging Americans not to sit by idly as “liberals deteriorate the rest of everything that you know and love.”
Robinson’s move to the U.S. coincides with what he describes as the collapse of the UK’s common sense, driven by the abandonment of Christian principles. “What we now call the ‘West,’ we used to call Christendom,” Robinson remarked, warning that removing Christian foundations would lead to societal collapse. He likened the loss of Christian values in the West to a crumbling house.
The British priest warned that woke ideologies, such as gender theory and critical race theory, have taken the place of traditional Christian teachings. Robinson pointed to the Church of England as an example of this shift, noting that it has embraced increasingly liberal stances on issues like same-sex relationships, transgenderism, and divorce. According to him, this push for “inclusivity” has led the Church away from its core Christian values.
Robinson also highlighted the dangers of multiculturalism eroding national identity, particularly in Britain. He expressed concerns that these trends are creeping into American society as well, urging Americans to hold on to their cultural values without losing them to “the detriment of your own.”
Despite his warnings, Robinson maintains hope, citing his faith in God’s plan. He emphasized that while Western civilization may be in decline, it is crucial to remain steadfast and prepare for the rebuilding of Christian society.
