Biden Trips, Nearly Collapses On Steps In Philadelphia

President Joe Biden was once again caught on camera tripping and nearly collapsing while walking up a short flight of stairs in Philadelphia.

When he nearly fell, Biden was walking up the stairs to a stage to give a speech about climate change and “Bidenomics.”

A clip of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the president approaching the steps — tripping once as he took the first step, then tripping again before catching himself. He then grabbed the railing, crouching and staring at the crowd awkwardly for a few seconds before continuing his walk to the podium. From the video, it is clear that Biden was barely able to prevent what could have been a scary fall for the 80-year-old man.

Social media users were quick to mock Biden, while also pointing out that it is concerning that the president is so prone to falling.

“Joey trying to appear young and spry, as he attempts to jolt up the stairs … and fails miserably,” one user wrote, questioning whether Biden’s sunglasses “are too dark.”

“POTUS confronts his greatest enemies: stairs and no sense of balance,” another user wrote.

This is far from the first time that Biden tripped in public. The most recent incident was at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in June — where he fell to his knees when walking off of the stage. The White House claimed in a report after the incident that Biden had tripped “on a black sandbag on the stage” but appeared “to be ok and continued to stand until the ceremony ended a few minutes later.”

The president has also tripped while going up the stairs to Air Force One on several different occasions — which prompted his staff to make him use the shorter stairs up to the belly of the plane rather than the usual, longer stairs that all presidents have used.

Biden’s physical health has been a concern for many Americans in light of his repeated tripping incidents. His annual physical conducted in February showed that the president suffers from atrial fibrillation, peripheral neuropathy in his feet and hyperlipidemia, according to physician Kevin O’Connor.
